In April, as much of the Bay Area struggled with rising uncertainty—both in the housing market and on the broader political and economic fronts—San Francisco stood out for its relative stability. The single-family home market, in particular, continued to attract strong buyer interest, while the condo sector remained soft, with weaker demand and declining prices.
A Market of Contrasts Across the city, the market has become increasingly uneven. Some homes are flying off the market with multiple offers well over asking, while others—despite appearing similar in price, condition, and location—are receiving little to no attention.
Luxury Segment Defies the Uncertainty Amid the broader turbulence, the luxury segment continues to outperform. Sales of homes priced at $5M+ rose 24% year over year, reflecting sustained demand and strong buyer confidence at the high end of the market. |
